FAQ

  • Equipment
    • Q: What kind of equipment do you have?
A: We have 24 different machines, mostly newer generation Nautilus. We have cardio equipment, including treadmills, Stairmaster, stationary bikes, and elipticals. We also have a complete free-weight area with incline/decline benches as well as dumbbells from 2 lbs to 100 lbs. We also have ancillary equipment, such as bands, mats, exercise ball, jump rope, etc. Check out our photo gallery for pictures of our facility and equipment.  Photos of our new equipment will be coming soon.
    • Q: I've never worked out before. Will someone show me how to use the machines and what to do?
A: Yes! As part of the signup, we will write up a training program just for you and your individual needs, then walk you through that program, showing you how to use the equipment and make sure you are starting with the right weight and that you are doing the exercise properly. After that, if you have any questions, we are here to help you out with those. Additionally, we have certified personal trainers available at an additional cost if you would like their help and personalized touch.
  • Facilities
    • Q: Do you have showers?
A: Not yet, but we do have plans for it. We currently do have lockers to put your stuff in and bathrooms to change clothes in.
    • Q: Do you have a pool?
A: No, nor do we have a sauna or steam room. Unless the A/C goes out.
    • Q: Do you have towels?
A: The answer is "No" again. If you want to bring your own towel, that would be fine, but we don't require it. We have Clorox wipes to wipe down the equipment with.
    • Q: Do you have personal trainers?
A: Yes. Our current gym manager is a Certified Personal Trainer. We also have several independent certified personal trainers.
    • Q: Can I bring my own boom box?
A: You can bring your own music, but you must use headphones. Believe it or not, not everyone likes the same kind of music that you do.

  • Dress Code
    • Q: Can I wear sandals or flip-flops when I work out?
A: Yes, any type of footwear is acceptable. Our dress code is pretty simple. Basically, ladies must keep their bottoms and tops covered. Bikini bottoms or less are not allowed. Sports bras or bikini tops are OK. For men, they must keep their tops and bottoms covered, except that men may remove their shirts as long as they are not using any equipment. (Men like to look at themselves in the mirror, even though they won't admit it.) T-shirts, muscle shirts, tank tops ... any type of shirt works. Sorry guys, no Speedos allowed. Modest squarecuts, boardshorts, jeans, shorts are all OK.
